Collaborate with district staff and outside community partners to provide prevention services under the Prevention and Behavioral Health Promotion Grant Program. Provide direct service to youth, families, and communities using approved evidence-based curriculum education, information dissemination, positive alternative activities, appropriate referrals to community resources, and environmental strategies. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.

Qualifications

Education/Certification/Licensure

High school diploma or GED

Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

Ability to obtain Associated Prevention Specialist Certification within 20 months of employment

Special Knowledge/Skills

Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills

Ability to coordinate district functions

Ability to organize and maintain data

Ability to implement procedures

Computer skills consistent with district expectations

Must also be able to meet the following training requirements:

Experience

Minimum of 3 years successful work experience with school-aged children

Experience working with at-risk students and their families (preferred)
