LISC delivers grants, loans, equity, and capacity-building support to under-resourced communities. We help leverage these resources, making for even greater impact. We do this through our network of local markets and our nationwide rural program, our three tax credit and fund-management affiliates, and our 10 program areas that address all the building blocks of community wellbeing.
For over 45 years, LISC and its affiliates have invested approximately $35 billion in affordable housing, small business, health, economic mobility, community and recreational facilities, public safety and other projects that help communities. Headquartered in New York City, LISC has over 30 offices spanning the country from Jacksonville to the Bay Area as well as partnerships in 2,400 rural counties across 49 states and Puerto Rico.
People who work at LISC are passionate about what they do. We believe in community action, local solutions and being an integral part of the change we hope to make in the places where we live and serve. More than 500 people work for LISC and our affiliates and we are located in cities and rural communities around the nation. We come from a broad spectrum of personal and professional backgrounds, including finance, program development, social work, engineering, legal, research and others.
