      Abuse of Power by Management

      Pros

      Generous time off; wonderful staff other than management.

      Cons

      The ED gossips about the employees to other employees. HR doesn't follow through on complaints. Salaries are horrendous. Clients are taken into shelter even when there is no DV. Mgmt. has to keep up quotas for funding purposes.

      8 hour work day and 1 hour lunch

      upper management only pretends to listen and sometimes they don't even pretend. staff not important.

      Pros

      The job itself is rewarding, some staff are wonderful to work with. Supportive of continued learning.

      Cons

      Chief of staff does not demonstrate proper skills for managing others. He interrogates over petty issues, misses the big picture, is unable to admit wrong, uses others to scapegoat, does not compliment and communicates in a very demeaning and accusatory way.
