      Great people, interesting but tough projects, constant challenge

      Pros

      Snacks from Ocado :) Everyone I work with feels like they are working in the same direction, you are not battling your colleagues for recognition or petty reasons. Management team are typically pretty relaxed and open. I feel I can be frank and honest with them and they will be with me

      Cons

      While the projects that I work on provide a constant challenge (a good thing) sometimes we make things harder than they need to be (lack of diligence, typically in project startup period)

      Pros

      Amazing culture. Amazing people. Great Exposure. Great Learning. You get rewarded for the good work you do. You get to perform for the roles that are above your position hence providing great opportunities to nourish your next level skills. The new training programs are a great addition.

      Cons

      No onsite opportunities which is a key feature in service based companies. Hope we start it at some level :).

      Used to be great, but has lost its way

      Pros

      Cutting edge cloud technologies. Very well-known clients. Appirio uses the solutions they implement. Smart people who share their knowledge and experience freely. Good name in the industry. I would still recommend Appirio as an employer to a friend, as it is a great addition to the resume and an enormous learning opportunity.

      Cons

      Culture has eroded over the years. Part of this is due to growth, but there is a sense that Appirio has gone corporate, with little concern for the individual. People who were at the heart of the company have gone elsewhere or have been left behind in terms of promotions or salary increases. One needs to be part of the inner circle to advance. Nobody used to care about titles, but recently there has been an explosion of VPs and Directors. Then came the restructuring and some layoffs. Makes you wonder if they are getting ready for a sale. Salary increases are very uneven across the company and not at the level the market offers. If you are in it for the money, look elsewhere.
