Pros

The kids were absolutely the best part of this job.

Cons

Understaffed consistently due to terrible culture set by leadership causing seasoned RBTs to be told they needed to pick up slack due to short staffing and staff that consistently called out. Leadership would use concerns and complaints from staff told in confidence to them as gossip to other RBTs and staff, then would watch over the cameras and if the RBTs vented about their own experiences in the workplace would be called into the office and told not to talk about it. Clinical Director would throw all of their work onto their interns and then would get upset at them for not knowing how to do parts of it because they only wanted their work done, but did not care to teach them how to do it. The clinical trainer was awful at teaching staff and cared more about how the RBTs felt about them than actually doing their job correctly. When they didn't know the answer to questions that would be asked to them they would give staff the wrong answers which led to RBTs being taught incorrectly also leading to bad therapy. If we were understaffed we would be on the schedule from 8-5 or 8-5:30 sometimes without a lunch break. Communication is awful between RBTs, staff, and staff to RBTs. If you had reported anything to leadership about staff acting any type of way to the kids they would not send the reports anywhere and then talk poorly about you in the office to each other and sometimes other RBTs. BCBA's are not consistent with how to run their programs and will often leave you on read when you reach out to ask questions. Staff is not on the same page about anything and its basically high school. Staff would all go into the same rooms to talk to each other and programs would not get ran for extended periods of time, sometimes not at all and then staff would graph things that didn't actually happen. I really don't recommend working at this company, all of the leadership above the BCBA's try to cover up things that shouldn't be happening in clinic and then will gaslight you until you stop talking about it. I have worked at multiple locations in this same company and they are all the same.

Not much room for growth pay wise

Pros

Fun activities, supportive environment, high clinical standards, flexible with hours.

Cons

Pay rate has a cap after only 1 year of working. Feels there's not much room to grow after 1 year with the company
