Pros

Remote work and close contact with Microsoft.

Cons

If you're a Project Manager, it's advisable to steer clear of joining Creospark. While the company has experienced rapid growth, it has struggled to recruit suitable candidates for its EPMO team. The senior project manager lacks essential leadership skills, leading to a high turnover rate, particularly due to the absence of technical project managers. The department's focus on operational tasks has created excessive dependence on the technical team, resulting in a disjointed approach to project management. Additionally, the lack of budget visibility and control further compounds the challenges faced by project managers. Although the technical team is highly skilled and valued within the company, the overall environment is marred by a lack of emotional intelligence from EPMO management. Instances of termination are handled poorly, creating a sense of insecurity among team members. High turnover, even in senior positions, contributes to a toxic work environment reminiscent of a dysfunctional setting. Basic communication protocols seem to be overlooked, with simple tasks unnecessarily escalated to management. Example: if you send an email to a CSM they will reply copying you and your boss all the time, like kindergarten. The absence of clear processes and procedures leads to misinformation and inefficiencies, exacerbating the already unhealthy work culture. Experienced project managers would do well to avoid joining Creospark, as the company's lack of support for management, inadequate preparation for client engagements, and limited benefits package—including only a basic health plan and minimal vacation time—fail to meet industry standards. While HR may strive to support employees, the shortcomings in upper management hinder their effectiveness. Overall, Creospark presents a challenging and unrewarding environment for skilled professionals.
