Pros

It's a job. Worked at the corporate office, I had fun and liked the people who worked there. I know not everyone had the same experience. Working in different departments was a good resume builder. Traveling was a great time.

Cons

Not much if any upward mobility, some of the management staff are clueless. They do not pay competitively for some "management" positions but all the stress and pressure. In my experience, I did many different jobs and was always going the extra mile and there was really no recognition. Lots of turn around in the TA and Reservations Department. Also, I did not work in Reservations but wow... even if you call in sick once you loose half of your commission. No matter if you were terribly ill or your child was. Even if you had sick days banked and are a full time employee.

Pros

Absolutely none. Quite literally not a single saving grace for this job.

Cons

They will not work with you at all for scheduling. If you have kids or ANY kind of commitment they will not give a crap. First they will tell you that you have a set schedule. Mine was working days. Then they will expect you to either get rid of your kids or flat out not have a life outside of your work and switch you to whatever schedule they want as soon as you're out of training. They "let me go" because I have children and I couldn't work for two days in the holidays because the children's daycare was closed those days. Mind you I was working anywhere from 8 am to 8 am the next day. I had NO set schedule. I was the only one working that kind of schedule. They said if I even called off once I would be fired. It finally came down to me needing to call off, first time out of the months I'd been working there, after they had me work until midnight and then come in at 9:30 am the next day. Mind you that I still had to go pick up my children at their 24/7 daycare, almost an hour away because it was the only one I could find and I HAD to have it for this job, then drive an hour back home and go to sleep. Then I would have to wake up at 5-6 am to get the kids ready and drive them to their daycare and then head all the way back to work. They knew all of this and said they didn't care. I went to call in and they said to just come by and that they had to talk to me in the lobby, that's what they do when they're going to fire you, they told me they were firing me and that they were going to fire me sometime before Christmas since I wasn't able to work Christmas Eve/Day since the daycare was closed. They said I hadn't done anything wrong in the months I worked there. They just wanted to fire me since I couldn't work those days. They have absolutely no loyalty to their employees, so honestly, their employees shouldn't have any loyalty to them. I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to work at this place. They fired a friend because his wife was in the hospital in the ICU and he wasn't able to work a certain schedule. The upper management at this company is the definition of heartless. From what I could tell from talking with other employees my department was the worse about this. I worked in Traveler's Assistance for anyone going to interview with this company. Also, if you work Traveler's Assistance you don't get lunch breaks if you work nights. Up until a couple of weeks ago Traveler's Assistance didn't get lunch at all unless you made a fuss about it.

Pros

Nothing Pro about this company at all. Don't accept a position in reservations at all ! You will regret it...I did.

Cons

They basically don't tell you in the interview or at any time until you are hired and done w /the drug and background test that you are on MININUM WAGE AND COMMISSION. You get $ 10 per reservation which is a joke. They have qualifers that you have to hit and if you don't you don't get your bonus...like perfect attendance. There are 4 qualifiers that you have to hit each mth which is a joke. It is designed to not give you your bonus if they don't like you. The 1wk training SUCKS ! The hrs and vacation pay/time SUCK ! You wil work most holiday weekends. You will make a max of 3500mth if you are lucky...that is in the prime season.....! You are basically a customer service rep and not a sales consultant....lol.....alot of cancellations so you won't get your bonus ! You get 2wks of vacation up to 10 yrs there....joke. You can't take vacation from May-Oct at all. They will fire you in training if you don't do well. Managers suck ! You will make less money in the slow winter mths...you will make 30-35k if you are lucky....lol Your scheduled shifts each wk are diff...130-10, 1030-8, 7-4,etc..whatever they are they vary that is what I am trying to tell you. You DONT GET A WEEKEND OF AT ALL FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR....!
