Pros

Former CTO was absolutely amazing. Majority of the legacy Allston tech crew is very solid- a few new hires also adding value to FO.

Cons

No C-Suite leadership, no town halls, no communication, no culture, no direction, would bet the executive team does not know names of ppl that work. Great ppl left....its been a tough few years.

Pros

They are an active trading firm with capital and live trading accounts.

Cons

Turbulent environment with high turnover and limited sense of long-term investment in people. Leadership messaging and actual practices often did not appear aligned. Risk culture and compensation structure felt out of step with what many experienced traders would expect. At times, management seemed overly reactive and hesitant, which made it difficult to build confidence in the platform or the broader business model.

Pros

Free lunch and casual dress. If you're Jewish you'll get paid more

Cons

This place is a sinking ship and the workers recognize it. Employee welfare must be the least of their priorities. The second they can find someone to do your job for less you're out the door. The company is also poorly managed, letting certain desks blow up to the point that bonuses get cut and withheld companywide (which is exactly what happened this year), having junior ops people get paid more than traders, senior traders that are so dumb they don't even know how to save a word document, and overall woeful communication between management and the workers. Because of all this, there was a mass exodus of employees this Q1. You won't hear about this much because they make all employees sign confidentiality and non-disparaging agreements. Sometimes they'll hold bonuses hostage until you sign said agreements. They have a team of attorneys in Chicago whose sole job is damage control against its' own employees or recently departed employees.
