1. Everyone I work with is burnt out due to being spread too thin.
2. Lack of training for younger employees.
3. Ineffective PMs who don’t actually manage much about a project. Bad scopes resulting in projects easily going over budget.
4. No urgency with replacing engineers who leave. Particularly ones with a specific skillset that the team needs.
5. Lack of quality control (or the QC review is too quick and put off until it’s too late to do a thorough job)
6. Benefits are average when other companies offer far above average. No Christmas bonus. CHA does do spot bonuses for performance but I have not seen them often.
7. Lack of joy and lack of culture. It is hard to feel fulfilled and passionate about work when we don’t do any outings as teams and there’s very minimal office events. Everyone I work with is burnt out and the passion is dying. Turnover risk is high.
8. The company seems to value money and winning jobs over retaining employees and keeping them happy.
