Pros
Deeply meaningful work and a company full of colleagues who are truly passionate about the organization's mission. Good salaries and benefits, the ability to have work/life balance that counts and great opportunities for learning, professional development, cross functional growth, and just plain interesting, exciting work that creates value in yourself for future opportunities as you gain experience
Cons
A large organization that has the growing pains of legacy systems transition, bureaucracy that can at times stunt creativity and sideline good ideas, relatively flat staffing structure in program offices which can limit opportunities for advancement. Also note that in the current climate, CDFI's such as LISC face very stiff opposition at the federal level, creating some uncertainty.
