Pros

They offer decent benefits, good pay, and have a great onboarding protocol for new hires.

Cons

There are many cons to working here, but it is absolutely worth knowing what you're getting into before starting here as this facility, if nothing changes, can take its toll on your mental health. That said, if you are someone who struggles mentally, do not expect your manager to be empathetic. Instead they may say: "on those days you just have to try harder" and will not ask what they can do to help you. Management will likely not be able to help in the physical sense either as they do not have the skill set to do so. They cannot step in to train or lend helping hand when short staffed. Management will also say that they are there for you, but will do nothing to permanently resolve any concerns. They display obvious favoritism to some individuals and will believe hearsay. This favoritism will let some individuals get away with certain things, but not others. The office environment felt a bit like high school. The team had a very closed-off group dynamic which can make communicating difficult. These concerns can be brought up to HR, however, they will likely be unhelpful and recommend you try discussing things with the manager again. If you start off in one position and are growing in the field and switch to a different position, you will likely not get the support required to help you succeed. Since the manager is not trained in the field and there is no onboarding for someone who switches positions, they will put this onto someone else who does not want to train anyone and therefore you will be set up for failure. The same can also be said about the supervisor. They are not trained appropriately and cannot step into specific roles to help when the team is in need.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are glad to hear you found value in our pay, benefits, and onboarding, as these are areas we continue to invest in to support our caregivers. At the same time, we take your feedback around leadership support, training, and team dynamics seriously. Creating an environment where our teams feel supported, respected, and set up for success is a priority, and we recognize the impact when those areas fall short. We are committed to supporting our caregivers both professionally and personally, including through wellbeing resources such as our Employee Assistance Program, mental health tools, and encouraging time to recharge. We are also continuing to strengthen leadership development, training, and consistency across the hospital. We appreciate you sharing this perspective and encourage any team members to connect directly with hospital or HR leadership so we can better understand and address concerns.

Pros

Benefits, Competitive Pay (although inconsistent over the years), good amount of PTO.

Cons

TOXIC work environment and culture: Flawed training system, rotate you to different departments for 2 weeks without assigned tasks, then put you on the floor within your department without confirming your learning skills from the checklist given to you. When you are not able to perform certain tasks within 90 days, they will let you go instead of trying to train you appropriately. There is very limited room for growth in some departments. Expectation is everyone is required to train regardless of title or salary therefore you are responsible for another employee's performance, time, and skills. Communication between leadership e.i. management and staff is unclear and lacking. There is a lack of respect, professionalism, and compassion. New management of some departments lack appropriate communication and very unapproachable. Micromanaging! High turnover rate in multiple departments such as ICU, SX, ER, and Front Desk. The doctors are just as disrespectful in some departments and will neglect communication with you altogether. It creates a steady environment of fear, anxiety, bullying, and depression for the staff. The lunch breaks are not guaranteed in multiple departments but you can get written up for coming in late or staying over your time. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE WORKING HERE, BUT IF YOU DO TREAD LIGHTLY AND CHOOSE YOUR DEPARTMENT CAREFULLY! IF THEY SAY CERTAIN DEPARTMENTS/DOCTORS/MANAGEMENT ARE TOXIC, BELIEVE THEM!!!
