Pros

Decent pay for the work.....if you are on the sales side

Cons

Where do I begin here? Let's start with the tuxedo rental side. If this is your first or second job, or you are working part time while you are at school then this is a decent place to work.....right up until prom season. Under no circumstances should anyone take the formalwear manager position until they restructure pay. That position is a con in every aspect of the word. I started with the company at the time of the JAB buyout. Every cut they made after that acquisition had a negative impact on Mens Wearhouse. I watched a great company slowly disfigure itself in an effort to "save" a sinking ship. The employees were the first to feel the pain, and now the customers are starting to feel it as many of their top talent on the store levels have bailed. If you want to work for this company as a salesperson, then this job can be good. It depends on your manager. If you are interested in management, don't waste your time. Definitely do not look into managing a location in an area where there are not any other Mens Wearhouse locations close. They simply do not care about these stores. The upper management structure is a joke. They have regional managers with too large of a territory, and no district managers to help them manage it. Apparently it is also impossible to get fired from this company. I can't even count the number of stories I have about employees committing violations that should have resulted in immediate termination that are not only still with the company, but back in management positions. It may be a great company again, but not anytime soon.
