Pros
They can be flexible with you and you learn a lot about a lot of different types of devices and equipment, and you work in a wide range of hospitals, nursing homes, and clinics. There is potential for growth as an engineer if you show dedication and go above and beyond, and the typical day-to-day is not particularly difficult. They pay for training at the shop and everyone is generally pretty friendly and homely.
Cons
Sometimes the driving to many locations can add up after a while, especially if, like me, you have an old vehicle, and you may be asked to do a little heavy lifting or repairing things at odd angles. The opportunities for growth can also be limiting, but not if this position is seen as a stepping stone. Also, try not to bring the paperwork home, as that can be time-consuming.
