Pros

Good benefits, able to get meals and pay for them by payroll deduction, parking for staff is right next to the hospital so there's no need to walk far.

Cons

Breaks are 10 minutes so the most you can do is start your break, get water or use the restroom. Lunch starts at 10:30 so when your lunch starts at 10:30, I'd say 80% + of the time the food is never ready. As a result you waste at least 10 minutes of your lunch time eating for the cooking staff to get ready. EXTREMELY abusive staff ( 7 out of ten) towards new employees, so much so that they leave within 6 months, so it's a revolving door. Even though employees have a right to work in an abusive environment, management refuses to address this problem. The CEO needs to clean house with department managers by replacing them with more respectful managers. Favoritism toward "besties" is rampant.

Pros

Good teamwork on units Good health insurance

Cons

High nurse turnover Severely understaffed, Underpaid Executive management doesn’t care about floor nurses and lost touch with what nursing is really like. Poor communication between management and floor nurses Flies, cockroaches, rats found on nursing unit and in patient rooms but management doesn’t care. Ceiling tiles falling to the ground, but not removed for almost a week. Double rooms impacting patient privacy and NO CURTAINS covering patients - UPPER MANAGEMENT DOES NOT CARE about patient privacy and dignity. They only care about admitting patients to unsafe nursing ratios.

Pros

The cafeteria is awesome and the workers there are great.

Cons

Out of the many hospitals that I have worked at over my career this has come to be the worst. The culture and disrespect especially between physian toward nurses, techs and pcas is horrible. Drs there have no respect and are easily willing to yell as if they truly enjoy it. It is no wonder that people don't stay there very long, the turn over is strikingly high.
