      Pros

      Not much to say in regards to pros. IDBS is a one product company and they do not seem likely to develop a family of products. At best they will be bought out someday but no one other than a select few will benefit from that as they only offer stock options to a very select group of employees.

      Cons

      You will work very hard under challenging circumstances. Most work is repetitive in that it is reactionary work to one crisis after another, often of their own doing because they can never get ahead of the work they want to achieve. The other big con is that even though they are a small company they are over 25 years old with many in the leadership having spent their entire career at IDBS. Many of the leaders do not know any better ways of doing business. While they will listen to those with experience they do not let those people run with new ideas. You essentially get "Thanks for the input, let me think about it"

      I'm sorry that when you left IDBS it seems you weren't very happy. Since your review was posted we have progressed significantly as a business and we've certainly made lots of changes. We have a balance of leaders who bring innovative and different experiences and those who have deep knowledge of IDBS and our customers - I think this is a positive thing but sometimes I agree we need to embrace new ideas and make decisions faster. It's about taking measured business decisions but ensuring we always focus on positive outcome for our customers. Hopefully you continue to watch our progress with interest.

      -Work life balance -Management trusts employees and encourage you to get into things that interest you -Genuine people; professional but fun atmosphere

      Cons

      -Career growth can be limited depending on where you are; it is possible to forge your own path but not in every case

      Thanks for your review and I'm really happy to see you enjoyed your time with IDBS. Your comments about career growth are valid and it's fair to say that sometimes there just aren't opportunities for people to move into more senior roles and sometimes they have to step away from IDBS to get different exposures, before returning to us! But I'm glad you believe management trusted you and encouraged you to get into things that interested you. Feedback is important to us and I hope you will continue to watch IDBS' progress with interest.

      Challenging and stressful workplace

      Pros

      They are in a good market that is in need of IDBS products. Company is trying to listen to the market to determine their roadmap. They have many dedicated people and it is overall a friendly place.

      Cons

      25 year old company that is still very immature. Processes are very ad hoc. Very little oversight. The manage from crisis to crisis. Pay varies a lot.

      Thanks for the feedback. I'm disappointed to see your review labelled as a stressful workplace but challenging is something many of our employees strive for. Getting that balance right is important and maybe we just didn't do that in your case.
