Pros

As a GM, the level of investment in leadership training has stood out immediately. The company is intentional about onboarding, sending new leaders to multiple locations with all expenses covered to learn best practices firsthand. Communication with senior leadership has been excellent, transparent, and consistent. Expectations are clear, support is real, and collaboration across locations is encouraged. On top of that, it’s genuinely a fun environment, one you actually look forward to walking into each day.

Cons

With a strong training program and high standards, the pace can be fast early on. There’s a lot to take in during the first few months.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re proud to hear that our investment in leadership development, transparent communication, and cross-location collaboration has made a meaningful impact early in your journey. Creating an environment where leaders feel supported, challenged, and excited to come to work each day is something we’re intentional about. The early pace reflects both the depth of our training and the opportunities available to grow quickly, and we’re glad to hear its building confidence and strong culture. We appreciate your feedback and are excited to continue building together.

Pros

Advancement opportunity. You get to meet some good people from time to time.

Cons

No support from upper management. Harps on managers about what they are supposed to do, but when you do it and require assistance from corporate then it's not there, such as loss prevention, human resources and accounts payable. It should not take 6 months to get the company to start an investigation on employee theft when you sent them video evidence from the beginning. You're on your own when it comes to terminating an employee even though they tell you that you must get it approved through HR. They will wait a month before responding to your email requesting support for termination and ask what the status is if you even get that much. Also you must perform your managerial duties while working the front desk every shift. If you get 10 minutes undisturbed on a slow shift then consider yourself lucky.

Pros

If you're ambitious, there's a lot of opportunities to take on projects and be involved.

Cons

This company does not care about its employees. The benefits are terrible, and there is a pervasive toxic environment in which winning and getting results is more important than everyone's well-being. My experience is that the ends always justified the means. They love talking about how they are this cool "start-up-like" place that encourages entrepreneurship, when in reality they are a huge company with 300 locations with no diversity in thought. At the end of the day, they act like another corporation that treats their employees like numbers. Other reviewers are right that they burn and churn....there was not one single person I worked with who wasn't completely overworked. On top of that, an executive in the C-suite stormed the capitol and posted a selfie on twitter. It was then discovered on social media that he has a history with domestic violence. Instead of firing him, the company temporarily suspended him, but he is now back and still currently employed....making this a hostile workplace especially for women. It really shows where Bowlero's values lie when they are willing to protect someone of that character.
