Pros

Luna is revolutionizing physical therapy by truly redesigning the patient and therapist experience. Every day I get to go to work and be inspired by our amazing team, our exceptional therapists, and the opportunity to do something truly unique and make a difference.

Cons

Moving fast, ambitious goals, lots of work to do.

Pros

Company has its pros and cons like all companies. Some of the Pros is very good competitive salary per session. If you get your own clientele, you get a higher salary per session which is nice since you get rewards for going the extra mile. App is ok (see cons of that). Make your own schedule from 7am to 930pm

Cons

Unfortunately, as time goes on working here. There have been more and more cons with the Company as a whole -The app is consistently getting more and more buggy to the point where it is making larger and larger mistakes, which gets a little concerning and one really needs to go back and double and even triple check their work to make sure all looks good -There is a very large lack of communication since everyone in the company is digital. What that means is, if you send out a email for assistance, someone will answer within a few days, then while that question is open, someone else will also open another message for the same question, or once the message has been answer, ANOTHER person will reopen the question to try and assist, so there's really no communication with what's going on - There is now a concierge fee for clients, which does take a toll and is a hard sell to clients to be a part of luna. Example: If I have a client that have full coverage for PT with primary and 2ndary insurance, there is still a $7.50 per visit service charge due to insurance cuts, which I understand the cuts, we all do, but it's now a hard sell to come to luna because of this. -Customer service is getting alot worse. Ive had MANY clients that have spoken to people at luna and they have had VERY bad reviews of this. from Speaking to someone that was just absolutely rude, to having someone not knowing what to do and being on hold for hrs. This NEEDS to be addressed for you guys are the first line of welcoming a new client, and when you hear these things happening to clients more frequently, it gets concerning to lose that client over miscommunication - Zero growth in the company...nothing to go for but just more money, which is ok

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for offering such thoughtful feedback. It’s clear you care deeply about your patients and the work you do. That means a lot to us. 💜 We know that things like communication gaps or app bugs can be frustrating. We’re working hard to smooth those out through stronger QA, better training, and tighter collaboration across teams. Engineering has been focused on improving therapist matching this year, which may have made other areas feel slower at times — but feedback like yours helps us stay focused on what matters most. If you’re open to sharing more details, please reach out to me directly at amber@getluna.com (and I promise it won’t get bounced around 😉). Your insight helps us turn feedback into real, actionable improvements. While not tied to Medicare, the concierge fee can understandably raise questions. It’s a small out-of-pocket cost that supports the coordination and convenience of receiving outpatient care at home. If it matters, the Terms of Use (https://www.getluna.com/terms-of-use) explains how it works and why it exists to help keep care accessible and sustainable for both patients and therapists. Appreciate the call out to continuing to advance the current employees and it’s really insightful advice, We’re proud that our internal promotion rate nearly doubled the industry average last quarter (24%), and always want to continue to improve in this direction. Thanks again for taking the time to share your perspective and such meaningful feedback. We hope you will feel comfortable reaching out to share more details directly.

Pros

- This is my fourth engineering gig and my second startup. So far, this place has, by a mile, the best developer experience I've seen. Automatic deployments, QA environment, pretty good observability stack, and some really nice database utilities make the devex here a big selling point. - Highly organized product team and software development lifecycle. Maybe my coworkers would disagree with me here, but I just came from a place were projects were started and abandoned every two weeks. That's not been the case here. Product asks are intentional, well researched, and generally stable. Best of all, they are very open to discussion. If you, as the engineer, come back and tell them something is not worth the effort, you will be listened to. Engineering projects are thoroughly researched before execution, mitigating surprises and smoothing out implementation. - All the engineers really pull their weight, at least as far as writing code goes. There's a lot of experience here and generally it leads to good architectural decisions. - The engineering leadership does a pretty good job of keeping things on track without being authoritarian - There's a book club where we go through material that would have an impact to the way we do work. I was pleasantly surprised to see that what people read, they made a meaningful effort to internalize and make cultural changes to improve the workplace. - Interpersonally, people usually do a pretty good job of seeking to understand the problem before jumping in to make suggestions - Luna is very AI forward. If this interests you, you will probably find the tools and resources you want readily available

Cons

- Some of the developers and engineering leadership are passionate and opinionated. Disagreement is not always received well. Sometimes people will tunnel in on the negatives while ignoring the positives of a proposed solution. - Work is allocated in such a way that everyone is often at capacity on different priorities, so it can be hard to get eyes on your work for review or feedback - Staff engineers are stretched pretty thin, often working on 3 to 4 things at once. Despite wanting to grow in my career, looking at them makes me second guess if Luna is the place to do that. - Team cohesion can be patchy, with some strong pockets and some very weak pockets
