Pros

Montblanc sells the best writing instruments, I got to learn a lot about time pieces. Great customers, most of the, very educated business men.

Cons

Where do I start? One word "horrible" management. Bullies, racists, unprofessional managers, manager stilling sales from associates (it happened to me). Gossips and backstabbing is the normal, calling names, and making fun of someone physical aspect it was something so normal for my manager. Everybody in my team quit because they were so unhappy. We were always understaff and we had to work more than 40 h a week, without any word of appreciation. The turn over is so high. It was the most unhappy year of my life while I worked at Montblanc. It is sad. It could have been a very nice place to work, but unfortunately I had a very bad manager, and this person is still there, even thought the HR was informed about all this unprofessional behavior. It is an embarrassment that Richemont, a company with such prestige it employed people like my formal manager.

Cons

Do not work in Montblanc unless you want to be miserable. High employee turnover, toxic environment, no team spirit, long hours, they will not keep most of the conditions you signed for in the contract, HR does not have your back, there is no growth within the company unless you are french, your ideas do not matter, you will NOT build a career and your days off are not days off.

Pros

Good pay, PTO, but that’s a part of being a Richemont brand. Access to senior management. You do a lot so you learn a lot, makes you very marketable for the future.

Cons

In the New York office, you absolutely need to be French or speak French to be promoted. No growth path for those who don’t speak french or who are not French nationals.
