The Residents are the only reason I work there.

Cons

After a long day with no break, tired, thirsty, hungry and my body aches from the physical demands, I have been forced to work double shifts with no compensation. The ED walks out not even offering to help.

Pros

Residents are fabulous. Most coworkers are great and get along well. Most all want what is best for the company and residents.

Cons

Short staffed. Mgt all stick together and has no idea how horribly things are running. Blame the wrong people. The good employees that keep it together aren't appreciated or noticed. Some RAs are great but a lot are lazy. None are ever reprimanded because we need help. Some residents would benefit from being elsewhere but the company wants their money.

Pros

The pay was decent, the food was excellent and the building was beautiful inside and out. The nurses and assistants were caring and hard working. The residents and their family members were awesome.

Cons

Management was a joke. The Administrator was more concerned about getting a big bonus than meeting the basic needs of the staff and residents. She did not care that the staff was working short and exhausted. Training...what training? Don't bother trying to discuss with the owner... He will just send one of his goons to "pacify" you or in other words, to shut you up. Always about the almighty dollar... Just a shame.
