Pros

Overall, there are nice people there.

Cons

It's hard to know where to start. The corporate team is a joke. They lack strategy, vision and integrity. They walk around with chests puffed up saying I'm corporate. They, however, do not invest in infrastructure, do not allow autonomy and insult people. My second week the COO called a CNS 'ghettoish' and the regional VP called women sweetheart all the time. Yes, the pay is good, but it has to be. It was worth it to make significantly less money to leave.

Pros

Health insurance was the best and most affordable policy that I have seen since the advent of the ACA. Truly good stuff. CEO is a sincerely nice gentleman; too bad his kindness does not filter down to his leadership people.

Cons

Everything else. Basically, the late 80's called and they would like their health care processes and leadership methods back. Was somewhat entertaining after working a couple of decades in major healthcare organizations to watch the clueless folks from this tiny company in Pennsylvania visit from the PAM home office pretending that they knew what they're doing, while trying to instill fear in the underlings because they were there from "corporate". Most of these "corporate" folks would not be allowed to run a supply closet in a true hospital setting. One of them would show up at the hospital and sit at the head of our boardroom table on his laptop acting like he was too important to be bothered (sharp cufflinks by the way - completes the whole "leader image thing"). Another tried to tell us that mitten restraints were legal to apply without an order as long as they weren't tied to the bed (spoiler alert - they're not!). Very negative, hostile work environment. They took a hospital that was tops in outcomes and modestly profitable under another company and summarily destroyed it. Reputation in the local community is atrocious. If / when the state health department came into this place, it would / will be game over.

The leadership here at Post Acute Medical take their responsibilities to the community, our patients, and our internal teams to heart. As a growing company, we are working diligently to meet the growing needs of ALL of our stakeholders. This can be seen more recently through the addition of myself, the Chief People Officer. As we continue to enhancing our employee’s experiences, with the goal of enhancing our patient satisfaction, our desire is to shift perspectives while motivating our team. Pros

Twelve hr shifts are good

Cons

Everything! Rude non caring management, no staff, high turnover rates-now to the point they can't hire anyone. No patients because physicians don't want to send their patients over. Have to borrow supplies from Main host hospital or rig stuff up because of no supplies. Management has left Knowing there are only 2 RN's on with 17 patients while they are Rn's & can help cover. Have been in workforce for 33yrs & this is the all time worst place! Being flexed off all the time, haven't had a full paycheck in months with no vacation time to use. I can keep going on all day, PLEASE it's just bad from management on up!
