Soul crushing. Depression inducing. Welcome to Sweat Shop Technologies in 2018

Pros

There are some incredibly intelligent, skilled, personable, and caring individuals who work at Park Place and understand team-work. These are the same people who shared ideas, worked together efficiently, wanted this company to succeed, and put their best work into that vision of success.

Cons

There is an imbalance of wasteful, inefficient, ignorant, and perpetually negative individuals now under the employ of Park Place. Start with the brilliant souls who single-handedly induced the highest incidence of abysmal customer satisfaction responses in the history of the company’s existence. Those who made such decisions without fielding any feedback or even preparing their already down-trodden and overworked employees for the transition to a heart attack inducing schedule of endless acquisitions are to blame for the situation this company is now finding itself in.

Pros

There are no pros, you are underpaid, overworked, micromanaged and treated like garbage so people who got there when Park Place was just starting can claim all the laurels.

Cons

Low, low pay- they will squeeze you out for all it's worth, you will be micromanaged because the managers have no other experience expect for the hype bubble that is Park Place. Education- you won't get anything out of your degree here, and you won't do anything related to your degree. Your boss will probably be a housewife with no qualifications who knows how to suck up and was hired before you. Career development-none whatsoever. They didn't plan to achieve any success, but they found market niche. They have no career path for their employees. Employees are disposable and you can stay in the same brain dead job for years if you just drink the CoolAid and eat the free snacks. If you are in the Business Development Program-you are going to get used and discarded like an old rag The only people in sales making money are the ones that got on board 7-10 years ago.

A Company in Decline

Pros

Within sales, there is great opportunity to make a lot of money. For the most part, the people you work with are great and care about the success of the company. It’s exciting to see how fast we’re growing. Benefits, 401k, etc. are fantastic

Cons

Morale has gotten so bad that people call the office a prison. Micromanagement is terrible, and there is plenty of infighting between management and upper management. Lower-level Account Managers get paid hourly, yet not allowed to log overtime when they make us come in early or stay during lunch for trainings. AM’s that have to focus on 100+ existing customers are still expected to make 80-100 dials per day. Service is despicable because they won’t hire additional engineers domestically and the disastrous move to Astea... And while the AM’s are busy dealing with the multitude of service issues, we are getting yelled at for not hitting metrics. Workplace events are scarce. No more happy hours, drink carts, team building lunches, etc. The office used to be a great place to be, but it’s getting harder and harder to come in every day.
