Pros

The salary and benefits are decent.

Cons

There a lot of cons I could mention: work life balance is non existent, everyone works well beyond 40 hours a week and it seems like everyone works on the weekends, there is no clear organizational structure, there is a major lack of support, low level employees are managing themselves AND their “managers”, you’ll get yelled at and your intelligence gets questioned…..I could go on. This is by far the worst place I have ever worked. What’s really strange is that when I first started, I would seek feedback from higher-ups and my “manager”, and I was always told that they understood there’s a lot to learn so they just want me to try my best, and ask questions if I get stuck. It truly felt like I had support. Things quickly changed out of the blue. I was yelled at and shamed for asking clarifying questions and for bringing up issues that I was running into. I could barely get my work done because I was receiving NO support. All I got was anger and insults. Please don’t work here.

Pros

• Exposure to modern cloud, security, and compliance work (AWS, Terraform, FedRAMP-style environments) • Smart engineers on the ground doing their best despite the chaos • Opportunity to touch multiple parts of the stack quickly

Cons

• Leadership operates in constant reaction mode with no real planning, strategy, or stable roadmap • Policies are vague by design and enforced selectively depending on the situation or who’s involved • Executive leadership frequently overrides decisions, undermining managers and creating confusion across teams • Expectations shift constantly, often without acknowledging dependencies or constraints outside your control • Accountability is pushed downward, engineers are blamed for systemic issues they don’t own • Work-life balance is not respected; boundaries can be ignored whenever “business needs” are invoked • Communication is inconsistent and often changes retroactively, leaving teams scrambling • Culture is performative—what’s presented externally does not match the internal reality • Psychological safety is effectively nonexistent; decisions feel arbitrary and job security is unclear

Pros

Remote work, but you’re being watched

Cons

Leadership will text you at night or on weekends telling you what you did wrong. The CEO is condescending and has an immature leadership style. Instead of trying to help, you’re berated and you rarely feel “safe” being employed there. If you’re not generating revenue for the firm, you’re ignored. There’s very little diversity in the company. The CEO will talk poorly about you behind your back and to clients.
