Pros

you can say you're employed.

Cons

1) Chinese company. 2) If you're Asian you're amazing, if you're white you're alright. All others are not valued, over worked, and verbally abused. 3) No upward mobility especially if your a person of color. 4) Lied about RSUs for those that started with the company on the US side of the house. 5) must get everything in writing because they'll lie to you. 6) No cost of living adjustment. 7) Merit increases are below 2.5%. 8) Want Directors and Managers to hand out B's and C's during employee performance evaluation. Grading scale goes S,A,B,C,D. They deliberately want you to fail so they don't have to pay you. C's get pip'd. There's a quota that needs to be met when it comes to C's and D's. Even if you do your job as asked there is a chance you'll get a C. That means no merit increase and 1/3 of your bonus if lucky. 9) waste money on big building, won't hire more resources, but will complain office is empty. 10) Buildings only have 1 bathroom for 40+ employees. 11) No hybrid for US employees. Reason being this is a Chinese company and China works 9,9,6 format. They don't want US teams to work a 9-5 schedule or work remote. 12) 9 days paid vacation instead of standard 2 weeks. China gets 3 weeks vacation... Funny how that works. 13) Will not invest in adequate resources to do your job. Will be asked to do your job with bubble gum and spit. 14) You're better off being an influencer that will advertise for SHEIN. You'll get more benefits. 15) Micro-manage you. Track all your movements. When you came into office, when you left, how long computer was open, etc.

Pros

High Competitive Salary Snacks in the kitchen Sparkling water with flavor - but you cant have any after 4 pm LOL! Nice latte Machine

Cons

Toxic & unprofessional leadership Favoritism for Asians, especially if you are Chinese. They think Americans are lazy. The president of the company plays favorites and is not discreet at all. for example, the man had the audacity to ask every single employee to shout "We love you (name of favorite employee)" on video, at the company holiday party because she was sick w.t.f.?! Not good for morale. No real president does that. The marketing team is full of people who don't know what they are doing - is a joke. The president has faith in them because they are Asian and he is training them. You have counterparts China who monitor your every move. they are supposed to be there to help you, but they are there to control you. No respect for time. They expect you to take calls during dinner time because their team in China is a bunch of robots who work 24/7, so that is the standard you are compared to for being a good worker.

Pros

Due to how small the company is, you will grow close relations with your coworkers.

Cons

- They post job listings under a second company, MakeMeChic, and do not fully describe job duties. There is no official offer letter ever sent to you underlining your job duties or pay. This is to avoid any legal actions that people could take on them for underpaying and not paying fully for overtime hours you work. - They DO NOT pay you the all the overtime hours you worked. For example, they require you to work over 20+ hours OT, but state they will only pay you for 7 hours and make you think it is ok. They choose to not pay you at all. Not even pay you your regular work rate. - Management is absolutely unprofessional and horrible. The manager is extremely unprofessional and will complain about her employee to her other employees and also make highly inappropriate sexual comments and innuendos towards her employees. The Director and manager will slack off all the time.
