Pros

when i first started working here, hca paid best in town. recently however, st. thomas and others have been catching up. health insurance is good, cheap. i like most of my co-workers. with the exception of a few, most are hard working, honest people. my co-workers are like my second family-- they are truly the only reason why i've worked here as long as i have.

Cons

poor morale & company culture. outdated equipment, horrible charting/emar system (meditech), promotions based on favoritism rather than skills, incompetent "leadership" team, too many chiefs & not enough Indians.

Pros

Very good, compassionate doctors, modern equipment (NOT the software), great workforce.

Cons

Management. Poor recognition of nursing needs/morale. High expectations without appropriate compensation. Too frequently understaffed. Clumsy, outdated charting software.
