Pros

Great benefits and a lot of women in leadership positions

Cons

I can only share so much because I still work here but it is the worse place I've ever worked. It is like a high school with a lot of gossip and promotions are a popularity competition. People are not treated equally and individualism isn't encouraged. I wish I could put a negative star for culture and values

Pros

Its a unique opportunity. As an independent state agency, they are not required to follow the state when it comes to annual raises, etc.

Cons

While management tries to foster a fun relaxed atmosphere, in reality it's very much a typical rigid bureaucratic state agency. But at least they try.
