Lighting the Way: How one idea brightened our plants and helped drive value. Mark Minter’s LED lighting journey across Agropur’s US plants. As part of Agropur’s commitment to sustainability, we’re proud to highlight the people and projects driving real change across our organization. In this first edition, we spotlight the work of Mark Minter, ESG Senior Advisor, whose expertise has been key in advancing our energy efficiency. LED Lighting Initiative: To cut energy use and costs, Agropur launched a transition from fluorescent lighting to modern LED systems across all U.S. plants. Over his 12 years at Agropur, Mark led this project with dedication—conducting detailed, room‑by‑room assessments to identify every fixture and determine the best replacement strategy. His hands-on analysis enabled accurate cost estimates and energy‑saving projections. Over 18 months, the project became a true collaboration, with Mark working closely with utility partners to secure valuable rebates and maximize impact. The Results • 5.5 million kWh saved (equivalent to nearly 800 homes) • Reduced energy costs • Significant decrease in our carbon footprint Mark’s deep understanding of energy systems and emissions reporting was essential to the success of this initiative, reinforcing Agropur’s commitment to responsible, sustainable operations. This spotlight is part of our ongoing series featuring the work of Agropur’s Sustainability team, led by Sophie Neveux, Director Global Sustainability.
