Mosaic, an Ares ERG focusing on issues of ethnic diversity in Europe held its first event in celebration of UK Black History Month in partnership with the Ares Black Alliance. The event was entitled: âA Transatlantic Discussion on the Accumulation of Black Wealth and The Way Forwardâ. We were honored to welcome an amazing panel made up of: Vicki L. Fuller, Piers Linney, Roneish M. and Ramsey Jay, Jr., for this important discussion on the accumulation of black wealth in the community. Events like this are key as they continue to propel the conversation on diversity and inclusion forward, creating more positive change within the workplace and in the community.

Adam Heltzer, Global Head of ESG, spoke at the KPMG Alternative Investment Symposium on how firms of all sizes can develop and integrate a systematic #ESG approach to investment and management processes. The conversation explored how firms can get started on their journey by focusing on a few key steps: establishing clear objectives, ensuring symmetry between the investment platform (“Responsible Investment”) and management level (“Corporate Sustainability”), translating these commitments into pragmatic implementation steps in an investment process, identifying and proactively managing KPIs, getting ahead of climate change disclosure and leveraging available resources to get rolling.
Ares families launched the start of the school year with a home rocket building workshop led by NASA rocket scientist, Cindy Koester. Both kids and grown-ups had the opportunity to ask Cindy all their questions about space travel, rockets and planets. Cindy taught Ares families how to build and launch their homemade rockets and inspired everyone to imagine themselves as budding rocket scientists! This event was part of our ongoing Ares Family Academy initiative, created in partnership with workforce development initiative Mindr.
