We wrapped up an incredible two-day intern event in Nashville last week—timed perfectly with National Intern Day! Our interns presented on the projects they worked on and what they’ve learned, spent time with mentors, and enjoyed some fun competition with marshmallows, hula hoops, and Four Square. We’re proud of the growth in our 2025 intern class and grateful they spent their summer with us.
Barge had a great time at this year’s KY/TN Water Professionals Conference (WPC) in Knoxville. When it comes to healthcare design, Client Service Leader Denis J Stroup, AIA, LCI-CPD-SME, has a gift for bringing the right people together to make great things happen. With over 30 years in the field and nearly 20 of those focused on managing large, complex healthcare projects, he's witnessed how powerful lean project delivery can be. "I never cease to be amazed by the power of a positive culture in an organization or a project," says Denis. "I've seen it overcome obstacles and achieve outcomes not thought possible. I have a passion for building and sustaining a culture that fosters a highly collaborative environment where people do their best work." As an engaged member of the AMFP - Association of Medical Facility Professionals and the Lean Construction Institute (US), he's helped launch local chapters for both organizations in Nashville. Through these efforts, he's driving important conversations and sharing best practices with the broader community. From mentoring teams to making complex projects feel seamless, Denis is helping us—and our clients—create better spaces for healing.
Say hello to our airboat, cruising through Florida’s wetlands. This tool helps our team manage wetland mitigation bank projects more efficiently as we restore native ecosystems across the state. We currently support more than 30,000 acres of conservation land in Florida. By working with private landowners, we develop tailored ecological restoration plans that transform previously impacted properties into healthy, functioning ecosystems. Barge is proud to be part of the solution, helping ecosystems recover and communities thrive.
