We’d like you to meet Mr. Colton Spaeth, a Lead Technician at our Milton Plant! Colton has been an exceptional employee at CNG since 2018 and over the years, he has grown into a remarkable leader and trainer for Team Milton. His peers share how special Colton is, and how much he has flourished during his time with us so far, noting his incredible leadership and dedication to his team. Colton is motivated by the fun he has both at work, and at home with his wife and kids, which is no surprise because he is as light-hearted and hard-working as they come. He sets the bar high, and continues to push himself to excel in his role and beyond, even creating his own lane within our organization by training several shifts on MDO and more! His passion can be seen in everything he does, including his professional wrestling career outside of CNG! Colton sets an outstanding example, and we’re so fortunate to have him on Team Milton. It is our pleasure to introduce you to Nico Shaut, Charter Next Generation's Director of CPG Sales. Nine years ago, Nico began his journey with CNG as an intern fresh out of Ohio State. Even then, our President, Dan Niss, noticed that Nico’s work ethic was hard to come by, and his commitment and passion for the business was unmatched. Nico works with our top CPG customers and since day one, his focus has remained on diligently servicing these key accounts around the globe. Our customers appreciate Nico for being extremely responsive and going above and beyond to meet any request, at any time. Nico shares his passion for CNG’s company story – from our sustainable offerings to product innovation, to brand-new technology, the strides we make in the industry drive his dedication to getting our story to some of the biggest organizations in the world. Paul Gorman, CNG’s Senior Vice President of Consumer Products, added that over the years, Nico has developed into a true professional and an ambassador for the company. He describes Nico as a key player to the team and a driving force for new growth and activity who brings a tremendous amount of energy to the table! Thinking back on all of the companies he spoke to during his college days, Nico fondly remembers the endless opportunity he saw in CNG, noting, “It’s just that place, it’s fun to be here.” We’re honored to have Nico on our team and we’re eager to observe his continued success!
We'd like to introduce you to Jeramiah Lee, an extraordinary Process Technician at our Bloomer location. Jeramiah has been lighting up the floor at CNG for six years — his infectious smile and can-do attitude empower Team Bloomer to come together to tackle anything that comes their way. Jeramiah is big on building a strong culture and creating an enjoyable work atmosphere for his fellow employee-owners. Dan Johnson, the Bloomer Plant Manager, admires the way that Jeramiah works alongside Dave Hetke to lead the team and set the tone for success. The pair work seamlessly together to not only take care of each other but also to uplift the entire team. Jeramiah expresses that he has the most rewarding job and we could not be more proud to have his passion and dedication radiating throughout Team Bloomer. Watch the full spotlight here:
Charter Next Generation recently concluded our 2023 Earth Week Challenge with our Champion's Lunch. Congratulations to the Superior, WI plant for winning this year's coveted traveling Silver Trash Can trophy for not only collecting over 22,000 pieces of litter, but more importantly, actively engaging over 70% of their plant employees! This year's Earth Week clean-up event was by far CNG's best ever — we collected a total of 52,475 pieces of litter and totally smashed our target goal of 25,000 pieces! We had eleven people who each picked up over 1,000 pieces, with 5 of those exceeding 3,000, and even one person incredibly collected over 5,000 pieces of litter! While there were friendly individual, department, and plant competitions involved, the real winners of this event were our communities, the environment, and our planet. "As CNG's Director of Corporate Sustainability, I could not be prouder of how the CNG team brought all six of our core values together to achieve these amazing results. I am already looking forward to next year's CNG Earth Week Challenge and what this awesome team will achieve!" - Scott Hammer
As a part of CNG's Community Giving Funds Initiative, the Turners Falls team came together to select four local nonprofits that would have an even greater impact on the community with some financial support. The team felt so fortunate to be able to donate to Orange Gives Back, Connecticut River Conservancy, Franklin County Fairgrounds, and Stone Soup Café in Greenfield, MA! We’re pleased to introduce you to Alvin Mitchell, a technical trainer at our Blythewood plant! He began his journey at CNG in 2019, where he started as an operator and grew into a lead position. Once the technical trainer role became available, Alvin’s impeccable work ethic, hands-on approach, and dedication to CNG stood out — making him the perfect candidate, hands down. Alvin's mentors praise him for his commitment to his role, exceptional training style, ability to communicate & collaborate, provide honest feedback, and deliver the best training possible so that his trainees hit the ground running once they leave his program. You can always tell when someone has been trained by Alvin! Alvin’s biggest motivators are his peers that reach out for assistance, and watching his trainees prosper on their own. He thinks of CNG like a family, recalling a time when he was out sick and his colleagues called to check on him. He notes, “People truly care, many are committed to the job and want the best, and it’s most definitely different.”
We’re excited to introduce you to Mr. Setso Mawusi, a Lead Extrusion Tech at our Delaware facility! Setso has been with CNG for 7 unforgettable years & it has been a privilege to watch his impressive personal & professional growth. His ambitious mindset & dedication to going above & beyond in everything he sets out to do enabled Setso to evolve from an operator into an amazing leader that each member of the Delaware team trusts, cares about, & hopes to emulate. As the C-Shift lead, Setso is the go-to. He & his team adore each other & consistently encourage one other to be the absolute best they can be. Hailing from Accra, Ghana, Setso made his way to the States just over 8 years ago to pursue the American Dream. For Setso, it’s the little things that truly remind him that he is! He shared that his family is a priority & they continuously motivate him to work as hard as he can! From work to family & friends, his peers praise him for being an all-in kind of person that has your back & commits to success. We’re lucky to have Setso at CNG & we’re eager to continue this journey with him!
We'd like you to meet Kelly Storie, a remarkable Customer Service Supervisor at CNG. Kelly has been with us for 11 years now, and we've enjoyed every minute of it! Kelly is as dedicated as they come, extremely diligent with her accounts, and takes the extra time to build incredible bonds with each of her customers, ensuring that have everything they need and more. She's the type that truly embodies our values and puts in the effort to find a better way. Kelly recalls how much she has watched CNG grow, and how proud she is of her team. She embraces our 'family' with open arms, focuses on the 'we' in every situation, and always works with people - never around them. Kelly and the entire Customer Service team adore each other. Kelly knows when her team is up and when to take care of one another. With a fiery spirit and a knack for adventure, Kelly's peers praise her for being the type of person to go and get it done rather than just talking about it.
