CNG's Community Giving Funds event was a huge success! This past week, we had the honor of donating $130,000 back to a few of our communities. With the help of the United Way chapters of Richland County, Delaware County, and Morrow County in Ohio, we successfully helped to support fourteen local charities and organizations that were hand-selected by our team. Say hello to Deon Clark! Deon is a C Shift Supervisor at our Blythewood, SC facility and we wanted to take a moment to recognize the impact he has made on CNG. At just 21, Mr. Clark joined CNG as an Entry Level Operator with no experience, but a passion for learning and making a difference. Nearly 4 years later, Deon has positioned himself as a leader and an integral member of the Blythewood team. He'll never hesitate to jump in and help, he's dedicated to passing his knowledge on to others, and he's always looking to find a better way. Deon's team praises him for being the kind of boss that isn't afraid of getting his hands dirty alongside them. Deon can truly work with anybody and he's eager to see where CNG takes his future. We're so thankful to have Deon on our team!

Over the last 5 months, students in grades K-12 worked together to collect and recycle the most polyethylene plastic film for a chance to win high-performance Trex products to beautify their campuses. For the first time ever, students involved in the challenge also competed for the chance to win cash prizes for their schools, thanks to CNG's corporate sponsorship. The nationwide challenge kicked off on America Recycles Day (11/15/21) and concluded on Earth Day (4/22/22). Our Senior Marketing Manager, Apurva Shah, and Materials Sourcing Manager for Trex, Stephanie Hicks, surprised the number 1 school in person... baring a giant check for $5,000! We celebrated Earth Day by recognizing & rewarding the efforts of all of the incredible students, faculty, and schools that participated in the Trex Recycling Challenge on a nationwide virtual award ceremony held via Zoom! We are so proud and inspired by the incredible efforts made by all of the participating students and we can't wait until next year to do it all over again!
