(Custom) a leading IT solutions provider is pleased to announce that they have been named by Providence Business News as one of the 2020 Best Places to Work in Rhode Island, for the second year in a row. This statewide survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best places of employment in Rhode Island, benefiting the state's economy, workforce, and businesses. The 2020 Best Places to Work in Rhode Island list is made up of 66 companies, broken down by size of the employer. The companies were judged based on human resource policies and confidential surveys of employees compiled by Best Companies Group. Due to the pandemic companies will be recognized in a virtual ceremony to be held on Wednesday, September 30th.

Custom switches gears to support local community. With schools forced to close and healthcare facilities overwhelmed by the spread of the COVID -19 virus, Custom found itself in a position to be of assistance. In order for school districts to teach remotely they had to ensure that their students had devices to participate in virtual classroom sessions. Custom quickly converted their warehouse to a distribution center and began distributing devices to students most in need, which included packaging, tagging and addressing the devices. As healthcare facilities looked to voice assisted devices to facilitate care of COVID-19 patients, Custom used their newly created distribution process to quickly get those devices to the facilities.
CUSTOM COMPUTER SPECIALISTS WINS BEST COMPUTER SERVICES FIRM IN BEST OF LI 2020 CONTEST. Custom was voted best computer services firm in the Long Island Press’s Best of Long Island 2020 contest. The company’s win comes on the heels of being named to CRN’s 2020 Managed Service Provider 500 list in the Security 100 category and Best Places to Work in Rhode Island. The Best of LI contest is conducted each year by the Long Island Press newspaper. The voting for Best of Long Island runs from October 1st to December 15th in which everyone can vote for their favorite business, professional services firm, etc. that they feel should hold a “Best of Long Island” title. With more than 900,000 Long Island voters, it is also the largest and most popular awards program in New York.
