Enercon Services East, P.C. (ENERCON) is pleased to be partnering with SMR, LLC (A Holtec International Company) to support development of a comprehensive Construction Permit Application (CPA) for two new Holtec SMR-300 units at the Palisades Nuclear Plant (PNP) site. The CPA will be developed in accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 50, Domestic Licensing of Production and Utilization Facilities, for submittal to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). As part of the CPA development project, ENERCON will perform a site selection study, site investigation and characterization, plant layout and construction planning support, development of a CPA Preliminary Safety Analysis Report (PSAR) Chapter 2, Environmental Report (ER) and site permitting. The Holtec International SMR-300 SMR design is one of the first SMRs in the United States that is undergoing site investigation. The SMR-300 design is anticipated to be operational in the mid-2030.
