Curious about what career growth can look like at General Dynamics Mission Systems? Mike Monteilh joined us as a systems test engineer shortly after graduating from Arizona State University. Over the past 39 years, he has supported various programs and directorates across our lines of business, working as a hardware team manager, business development lead, senior engineering manager and director of engineering. Today, Mike is a grandfather of six and our Director of Engineering Execution. His recipe for success is simple: “Find good leaders, get out of their way and make sure they know you're always there to support them if they need it." At General Dynamics Mission Systems, we offer a variety of leadership programs and professional development opportunities designed for all areas of our business. Check out the plethora of programs and opportunities we have that are committed to making the best professionals, even better.
Each year, the WashingtonExec Pinnacle Awards spotlight an exceptional group of mission-focused industry executives and government officials who work to put the technological needs of our nation first. This year's award presentation was held last month and included one of our own! Congratulations Brian Barnes, director of Information Technology's (IT) Transformation Management Office (TMO), for winning the WashingtonExec Pinnacle Award as Cloud Executive of the Year!
General Dynamics Mission Systems celebrates and recognizes veterans in a variety of ways. About ten years ago, the veteran pin contest was created, and has proven to be a crowd favorite. The contest solicits designs from employees, and then they are voted on by the US based GD Mission System organization. Within the last four years, Eddie S., a Talent Acquisition Manager, has won a ‘hat trick’, taking home a win three times in 2020, 2022, and most recently, this year. “I have always appreciated all the great recognition GD Mission System provides to our Veterans!” said Shapley. “When I learned about the Veterans Day Pin competition, I thought it would be a really great way for me to get involved and show my gratitude and pride in our team of veterans.” #MilitaryFriendly #CelebratingVeterans #MilitaryCommunity
The people of General Dynamics Mission Systems are difference makers, not just at work but in the communities, they call home. 🏡🌳 ...like this group out of Bloomington, Minn. volunteering with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity just last month!
At GD Mission Systems, we proudly stand by those who've served. Nearly 20% of our team are veterans, bringing their dedication, discipline, and experience to our mission every day. Looking forward to celebrating them, and those important to them, during Military Families Month this November.
