Everyone deserves to feel at home. In honor of Pride, and as a part of our ongoing commitment to equality, we’re releasing two editions of our Rainbow STORSTOMMA bag, and donating all proceeds of our baby Rainbow STORSTOMMA bag to The Ali Forney Center and Los Angeles LGBTQ Center to help homeless youth.
Last year, #IKEA joined Human Rights Campaign in an amicus brief in a trio of #SCOTUS cases to protect #LGBT+ people from discrimination. Today, we celebrate the ruling on those cases! There’s still more to be done to ensure #equalrights for all, but SCOTUS has made a step in the right direction.
At IKEA, we believe that #equality is a human right, but we know that this hasn’t been the case for African Americans in the U.S. We strongly condemn all forms of racism and prejudice, and we stand with those who are working to build a better world. We are committed to working with co-workers and leaders across our stores to create an open dialogue around the best way forward and help rebuild communities around the country.
