We had an amazing time at the Student AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) Symposium 2023 with some of our caregivers and our team of MedVet Student Ambassadors! Any time we get to talk with future veterinary professionals about the profession is a good time, but when a cornhole tournament is involved, it's even better. Congrats to the top teams from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine and University of Missouri-Columbia College of Veterinary Medicine, as well as our booth prize winners.
Our team is passionate about working together with veterinary professionals in our community to provide the best care to our shared patients. Recently, MedVet Norwalk's Board-Certified Veterinary Neurologist, Dr. Phil Cohen, visited our colleagues at Aristokatz in Fairfield, CT, to discuss all things neurology. Thank you for having us and for entrusting MedVet as your partner in care!
Exciting news coming out of MedVet Salt Lake City! Our team there recently broke ground for an extension to the hospital that will house a LINAC machine to provide even more options for care for pets battling cancer. This expansion showcases MedVet's commitment to making ongoing reinvestments in our team to better serve pets, their loving families, and the veterinary community.
We are committed to supporting the physical and emotional wellbeing of our caregivers. We believe clear heads and hearts enhance the superior level of care we provide our patients. At MedVet New Orleans, the team has created a wellness space within the hospital and is holding twice monthly yoga classes for the team taught by our very own Board-Certified Oncologist, Dr. Mia Livaccari.
At MedVet, we have more than 30 locations and an amazing team that works hard to provide exceptional care and service every day. Today, we are sharing a #HospitalHighlight of MedVet Mountain View! MedVet Mountain View is one of three MedVet hospitals in the San Francisco Bay area providing exceptional veterinary care. The team is Leading Specialty Healthcare for Pets in California.
Veterinarian owned and led influences every aspect of who we are. Congratulations to our CEO, Linda Lehmkuhl, for being recognized as an OSU CVM Distinguished Alumni from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine! We're so proud of you and grateful for the teamwork, leadership, and compassion you demonstrate every day for our patients, clients, referral partners, and especially our caregivers.
Because we’re veterinarian owned and led, we know firsthand the financial burden associated with becoming a veterinarian. MedVet is tackling this challenge by providing student debt support for our doctors. Our veterinarian debt repayment program includes repayment assistance, refinancing options, access to financial planners, and more – which makes a more certain financial future possible.
