Meet Brandy Johnson, receptionist at Morning Pointe of Powell (TN) Assisted Living. She has worked at the campus for three and a half years and loves it! “I love everything about this place,” she said. “You feel welcome. You feel at home. I started out as a Resident Assistant, and getting to work with the residents was absolutely fantastic. Then I was able to move up to front desk receptionist, and it’s been phenomenal. Everyone’s so nice – you would love it here."
Sam Boshers found meaning in life by serving his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2006-2009. As a Licensed Practical Nurse at The Lantern Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence in Spring Hill, TN, he continues to enjoy serving with purpose and personal fulfillment. “People need caring caregivers to help them with their daily lives, and it’s nice to get to know different people and their families,” Sam said. “At the end of the day, you can go home and feel like you’ve done some real good." Sam especially remembers a resident who was a fellow veteran, who served in the Army. On Memorial Day, a group was watching a TV special, and Sam sat with him for a while. “He was my buddy,” Sam said. “When they played the Army song, he got up and stood at attention. It was very moving.” The Lantern has become something of a second family to Sam. He works weekend nights, and that allows him to be a stay-at-home dad to his kids during the week.

"For us at The Lantern at Morning Pointe Clinton (TN), memory care is not an afterthought," said Lones Green, Community Relations Director. "It is what we do. For us, memory care is not a hallway, or a floor, or a just part of our community. It is our community. Our programming is centered around our people making their own specific meaning in each day.
