At Parexel, patients are central to everything we do. Our mission drives our strategy, and we will further our Patients First focus by embedding the patient voice across all processes, researching to understand patients' perspectives, collaborating with advocacy groups and organizations, and expanding patient access and diversity in clinical trials. In 2024, we will differentiate and excel in this space. We're thrilled to announce Stacy Hurt as Chief Patient Officer. In this role, Stacy will shape our patient-focused thought leadership and influence how our industry serves patients. She will also inspire others to adopt a patient-led mindset. Stacy, who joined Parexel as our first Patient Ambassador in May 2022, has been instrumental in guiding patient-led trials. With 25 years of healthcare industry experience, being a Stace iV cancer survivor and patient advocate, and being a caregiver of a child with a nano-rare disease, she brings personal and professional insights to every customer engagement. We are grateful for Clare Grace's leadership and contributions to Parexel. We wish her success in her next adventure. Our commitment to patients and our patient-focused culture will remain steadfast.
In 2023, Parexel’s team of around 22,000 employees sent 92,436 recognitions through our "Bravo!" recognition program. That’s about 4 recognitions per person! 🎉 One of the features of our “Bravo!” platform is the ability to align each recognition with a specific behavior that the colleague has demonstrated. This means we're not just saying "good job," we're acknowledging the values that drive our mission forward. The most awarded behaviors in 2023 were: 1. Collaboration 2. Efficiency 3. Empowerment & Accountability When we take the time to recognize and celebrate each other's dedication, it brings out the best in all of us.
"Many companies claim that it's important to put patients first. At Parexel it’s an ongoing topic ingrained in everybody's work." In this #TalentSpotlight, Doreen discusses the #PatientsFirst core value at Parexel and how she personally contributes to it in her role as a project leader ─ from improving patient materials to developing diversity plans. For Veterans Day in the U.S. and Armistice Day in many countries around the world on Nov. 11, several colleagues gathered at the Veterans Freedom Park in Cary, NC to lay flags with the non-profit organization Veterans Bridge Home in observance and remembrance of veterans. This was the first volunteer event for Parexel’s new "Supporting Our Military Community" program, which aims to connect and empower veterans and military spouses and recognize their unique skills for our industry. Our veteran colleagues hold serving others as a fundamental value, which they bring to their work at Parexel — serving patients globally. Learn more about our veteran community at Parexel:
