Residents and staff of Howard House Apartments in Brockton, MA recently celebrated their 5-year Anniversary. Special guests included Brockton Mayor - Robert F. Sullivan, several HUD/VASH Dept. employees, the Brockton VA Chief of Social Work - Darryl Grosso, and the Brockton Housing Authority. The residents had a large part in planning this party. From the theme “Patriotic Luau” to the 5-Year slogan "Finally Home", to picking out decorations and decorating. The event was catered by Roche Brothers and luau entertainment was provided by Big Smile Entertainment. Residents at Mill Pond in Littleton, MA recently celebrated Asian Pacific American Heritage Month with a cookout. Entertainment was provided by the @masshousing TAP Program - “Explore China/Middle Kingdom Through Music and Story”. Bedford Green and Howard Apartment residents recently participated in the "VA2K Walk and Roll." This annual event encourages people to live active lifestyles and allows participants to support homeless Veterans through voluntary donations of food and clothing items. VA medical centers around the nation are invited to participate in free, VA2K events which often includes a short two-kilometer walk (1.24 miles).
