We’re proudly released our 2022 Sustainability Report, which highlights our sustainability initiatives and tracks continued progress toward our 2030 Sustainability Goals. For the first time, our report includes a Climate Transition Road Map, which details the innovations and investments underway that we believe will help us meet our greenhouse gas reduction goal. We reported notable strides toward our Safety and Talent goals, with results outpacing national benchmarks. And we introduced a revised and more ambitious Communities goal, to create sustainable neighborhoods through strong community partnerships for 45 million people by 2030.

Republic Services, Inc. (NYSE: RSG), a leader in the environmental services industry, today unveiled its Technical Institute, the industry's first-ever diesel technician training program. As the need for skilled workers continues to increase, this investment offers best-in-class training, fully compensating students during the 12-week program. Graduates will immediately begin full-time work, joining Republic's 35,000 employees at one of its 180 local business units. The state-of-the-art, 76,000 sq. ft. facility is located in Dallas.

Republic CEO and industry icon Don Slager announced he will be retiring this summer after serving as CEO for more than a decade. The move marks the conclusion of a thoughtful and comprehensive, multi-year CEO succession planning process. President Jon Vander Ark will succeed Slager as Republic's CEO.
