National Wear Red Day was a huge success! Thanks to the fundraiser our Employee Club sponsored at our Toledo Headquarters and CEO Vince DiPofi’s personal pledge to donate $1 for each and every employee who sported red, we raised hundreds of dollars for the American Heart Association in just one day. SSOE has heart! The American Heart Association’s National Wear Red Day takes place annually the first Friday in February to raise heart disease awareness and show support to those affected by the leading cause of the death in the U.S. This Friday, February 7th, employees at our various offices will be observing the day to bring attention to the disease and the importance of cardiovascular health. In addition, the American Heart Association will join us at our Toledo Headquarters where our CEO Vince DiPofi, who serves on the nonprofit’s local board of directors, will be sharing his own Heart Story and has personally pledged $1 for each and every employee who wears red to work—all of which will be donated to the cause.
