Building the future of STEM: A while back, employees at our Toledo office organized a STEM kit build. Last week was the fun part, distributing the kits and doing the activities with students at Rossford and Northwood Elementary Schools. Through our partnership with United Way and STARS, an enrichment program for students in grades K – 5th, we’re able to participate in various events that provide early exposure to STEM—just one of the many ways we’re working to close the gap and increase the interest of students within underrepresented groups so that down the road they might choose a STEM-related career. Even better, the students are able to reuse the kits at home so that they can enjoy the activities with their families. #SSOEcares

Thanks to our team in Oregon, the Raphael House of Portland was able to provide 60 hygiene kits to families at the nonprofit’s emergency shelter. Our employees and their families put these kits together as part of the office's holiday celebrations and delivered them recently. The kits included basic necessities like shampoo, toothpaste, razors, and more. For more than 40 years, the Raphael House of Portland has helped domestic violence survivors and their families find safety, hope, and independence. #SSOEportland #SSOEcares
