Sequoia has been named a Top Workplace by The Oregonian for SIX consecutive years! We simply could not have received this recognition without the incredible and infectious spirit that our team members bring to work everyday.🏆 #ElevateToSequoia
Last week, our SoCal team members enjoyed a day together at TopGolf, playing games & winning prizes! There is nothing we love more than celebrating them. #FunDay
The Sequoia Fun Day adventures continue, this time in the Pacific Northwest! Playing games, bonding with other communities, and winning prizes were some highlights from Punch Bowl Social in Portland, OR. #ElevateToSequoia
There is nothing better than having a little fun at work! This summer, our teams will take a fun-filled day off to spend time with other team members, AKA Fun Day! Last week our team members in Colorado celebrated their Fun Day at a Rockies game reppin’ their new Sequoia swag.
This year, for our Purpose initiative at Sequoia, we are partnering with The American Cancer Society and @Relay for Life across all of our regions to help raise money for cancer research and more. This past weekend, our Home Office and Bay Area team members kicked off their event celebrating the lives of those who have battled cancer and remembering loved ones lost. We have met our goal raising over $2,000 so far, and our fundraiser isn’t done yet. Together we can make a difference. #ElevateToSequoia #ElevateTheEveryday
Each year, our team members get four Purpose Days to volunteer at organizations of their choice. Last week, team members from our SoCal region came together to volunteer at the Harvest Solutions Farm in Irvine, CA. While there, they processed several tons of celery and removed weeds from their cabbage fields for future harvesting. All of the produce goes directly to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County, which distributes to nearly 500,000 local residents experiencing food insecurity per month. Shout out to our teams for giving back to the community in the best way. #ElevateToSequoia
We would like to present our next #SequoiaShoutOut: Krystal Hernandez! Krystal recently CRUSHED IT by going above and beyond to make a new resident feel welcome. She made a special certificate for their puppy and left a bag of goodies in their home for when they arrived. Krystal truly understands what it means to #ElevateTheEveryday and that a small gesture can make a resident's day just a little bit brighter! 🎉🙌
At Sequoia, we understand that we are not just a property management company. Our Purpose is much greater than that. Our four organizations chosen this year include: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital The Breast Cancer Research Foundation Rooms of Hope Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary Hear from our team members as they share why they chose these organizations and what they mean to them.

Meet Marian, daughter of Yvonne, our Assistant Community Manager at Hidden Hills. Marian is our $5,000 Sequoia Scholarship recipient through Sequoia’s Purpose for the Future: opportunities for our team members’ dependent children to earn Sequoia Scholarships to pursue post high school education. “I’m a 23-year-old Asian/Pacific Islander and a first-generation college student. I’m pursuing my undergrad at the University of California, Santa Cruz, majoring in studio art and minoring in the history of arts and visual culture. My current goals are to attend a graduate program for a Masters in Fine Arts (MFA) in New York, have my very own studio practice, and most importantly give back to my family for the opportunities they’ve opened up for me.” So many amazing scholarship entries were submitted that reflected the traits of our team members and Sequoia's culture - pride in their parents and family, humility, intelligence, focus, and of course, ability to Crush It! Stay tuned as we highlight the rest of our scholarship recipients. #ElevateTheEveryday
