Today is National Donut Day, and it’s also our seventh day in #10DaysofGiving. Today, we are thanking first responders in our communities.
This past month, we celebrated our new and remodeled stores with a donation to a nonprofit chosen by each local store team. In May, we donated $1,500 to Northern Arizona Climbers Coalition (chosen by the Flagstaff, AZ store) and $1,000 to Battered Families Services (chosen by the Gallup, NM store).
We recently gave one customer, Tom from Jenison, MI, $10,000 for himself and an additional $10,000 to donate to a nonprofit of his choice. He was randomly selected to win through our Get10Give10 program. We love this opportunity to include our customers in our efforts to do good locally.
Come as you are; we celebrate our differences! At TCC, equity, diversity, and inclusion are not just words. They are our guiding principles as we build our teams, cultivate leaders, and create a work environment. You are welcome here! We have employee-led groups called CORE groups. CORE stands for “Connecting with Others through Respect and Engagement.” These groups connect people who share a common interest, quality, background, or goal. They provide a safe and supportive network organized around a shared identity to recruit and retain a diverse inclusive workforce. Some CORE Groups include: S.A.G.E (Sexuality and Gender Equality) S.A.G.E aims to create an open and safe space for LGBTIA employees to meet, share fellowship, and join in the work to create an inclusive culture of acceptance, dignity, and respect. The B.A.R.R. (The Black Alliance at Round Room) The B.A.R.R is an inclusive environment that will contribute diverse education and drive retention of Black employees at TCC through awareness, engagement, and opportunity.
TCC was named an IndyStar Top Workplace for the third year in a row! This award was determined solely on feedback from our Indiana employees in an anonymous third-party survey. Thank you to our amazing team!
