January is National Poverty in America Awareness Month. With poverty affecting almost 40 million people in our country, we use our resources and connections to help as many people as we can reach. Some of the ways we do this is through Community Events, like our School Rocks Backpack Giveaway, and Get10Give10, where we randomly select a customer and give them $10,000 for themselves and donate an additional $10,000 to a nonprofit of their choice. This past month, we celebrated our newly remodeled stores with a $1,000 donation to a nonprofit chosen by each local store team. We donated to Gregg Neighborhood House Association, Inc. (chosen by the Swampscott, MA store), RI Pink Heals (chosen by the Coventry, RI store), and the Weymouth Food Pantry (chosen by the Weymouth, MA store).
Round Room received the OneZone Business Excellence Award for Best Renovation from the local chamber of commerce! Our Store Support headquarters recently moved to Fishers, IN, and the new space includes a training and event center, nonprofit hub, fitness center, and a slide between the first and second floors.
