TeamHealth suffered a tragic loss in our provider family when Dr. Rick Kalister, his wife Betty and daughter Nicole were killed in an airplane crash last week near Boston. Dr. Kalister is survived by another daughter who was not traveling with the family. Dr. Kalister began working for TeamHealth in 1994 and served as Facility Medical Director at Starr Regional Medical Center since 2002. In 2009, he received the TeamHealth Medical Director of the Year award for his division for exhibiting excellence in physician leadership. Our thoughts and prayers go to all who knew this outstanding man.
