Our first Torch Helps grant application deadline for 2022 is coming up! All Q1 grant applications are due on January 28th! Torch Helps, a 100% employee owner-funded and 100% employee owner-operated nonprofit organization, awards $10,000 grants to local charities who are making a difference in our communities. To date, we have given more than $1.3 million to our local communities that our employee-owners call home.

Stephanie Cline, with the American Heart Association, came by our Headquarters today to present Torch with a few awards from the recent Huntsville Heart Walk! We were recognized as the Top Fundraising Company and the Top Fundraising Team, and our own Debbie Overcash was the Top Overall Fundraiser for the Heart Walk! Thank you to all of our Torch, Freedom Real Estate & Capital, LLC, and Starfish Holdings team members who walked, donated, and/or contributed to our Heart Walk Team! We are thankful to be able to support this invaluable organization in their mission to save lives from this country's No. 1 and No. 5 killers - heart disease and stroke.
We are excited to be able to share that in April we were awarded a task order by the Air Force Test Center for advisory and assistance services for the TMAS2 Tenants organizations of the 96th Test Wing located at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. We are honored to have been selected by the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) as a recipient of the 2021 James S. Cogswell Outstanding Industrial Security Achievement Award. Of the more than 12,500 cleared contractors in the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), only 40 facilities received this honor this year. Our selection for this prestigious award reflects Torch’s commitment to a strong security program to protect our nation and the Warfighter, and this recognition for our security personnel is well-deserved.
