As a Part-timer, I noticed once that my insurance did not cover something, and was told full-timers got.

For less than $10 a pay period, you can cover yourself with decent coverage on an HSA plan. For a little more, you can get great PPO coverage. Dental and vision are very inexpensive to add on as well (less than $2-3 a pay period). Adding a spouse or child would raise the rate substantially, but not to an unreasonable level.
