They offer a low-cost life insurance option that is a sound financial investment if you want to leave some money behind for your loved ones. When I ran the math on my premium, the life insurance payout amount was sizeable enough to be better than investing the premium into the stock market (assuming an average market growth rate of 7% over 40 years).
