Really good HDHP Point of Service plan with very low deductible. Premium mostly paid by company for individual, significantly more costly for family.

health insurance plans offered are not very good. I use my husbands benefits much cheaper and better quality plans.

BAH offers a variety of health insurance plans with most opting for one of the Aetna (Innovation Health if inside the DC Metro area) HDHP plans. The HDHP plans come with the option to also open an HSA with Payflex (now Inspira Financial). Prescription medications are run through CVS Caremark.
A Kaiser HMO plan is also available for employees based in certain locations.
Personally, I have had few health issues and have enrolled in the lowest Aetna coverage plan available which has worked well for me the one time a year I go to my PCP for a check-up. Aetna has a wide network which has been nice, but usually they take a long time to settle with the health provider on what I owe which can be frustrating (although this may be common among other insurers). The other reason I give this plan only 3 stars is due to the limited investment options in the HSA and the frustrating user interface and customer service from the HSA provider.
