It's an option which many utilizes. However, depends a lot on your manager.

Occasionally allowed to work from home

Management encourages us to WFH at least one day per week, in addition to being very flexible with sick children and weather-related instances. This is very important to me since I have small children and have a longer commute.

Depending on department, they allow work from home 1 to 3 days a week. Flexible hours, half day Fridays or every other Friday off. BUT- will take the option away if don't respect it or abuse priviledge. They know and can see how long you are online when working remotely. Everything is tracked.

Flexible for exempt employees. Good VPN connection and IT infrastructure.

best because as long as you get your job done you can work from anywhere

This is very dependant on your manager, but for the most part it is quite accepted and many people participate.
